LONDON, UK. Sun European Partners, LLP (“Sun European Partners” or “Sun”) today announces that it has made two senior appointments to its European team. Mark Corbidge joins the firm as Managing Director on the transaction team and Davide Vassena will be joining as Group COO on the operations team on 1 October 2019.
Mark Corbidge joins Sun with over 20 years of experience in European private equity. Mark’s most recent post was at TPG Capital where he was a Partner and responsible for the industrials group in Europe. Previously Mark was Senior Principal for Direct Private Equity at CPPIB, and Co-Head of Private Equity at Doughty-Hanson. Mark will lead investing activity for Sun in Europe and will work closely with Steve Liff, Senior Managing Director, who heads Sun’s North American transaction activity.
Davide Vassena joins Sun from Investcorp where he was an Operating Partner. He has over 20 years of professional experience spanning multiple sectors and functions. Other past positions include Head of Business Development at Nokia networks, Associate Principal at McKinsey & Co., and VP of Marketing & Product at Vertu. David will be working with Tim Stubbs, Senior Managing Director, who will continue to be responsible for the operations of portfolio companies in Europe.
