How Sun Drove Operational Excellence
Sun partnered with Wescom to deliver a comprehensive operational transformation, strengthening management, improving production efficiency, and enabling profitable growth.
Key initiatives included:
Management and leadership upgrade: Recruitment of a new chairman, CEO, CFO, and senior commercial leadership to professionalise decision‑making and execution.
Operational transformation: Optimisation of production lines, selective in‑sourcing of manufacturing in Germany, and targeted investment to increase defence production capacity in line with growing demand.
Commercial and pricing discipline: Implementation of dynamic pricing and annual price reviews, generating meaningful EBITDA uplift while maintaining competitiveness.
Scaled Platform for Growth
Operational improvements supported significant expansion of the defence division, including entry into new geographies, a substantial increase in agents and sales partners, and a materially expanded order backlog. Alongside operational excellence, Wescom executed five strategic add‑on acquisitions, further diversifying capabilities and end‑market exposure.
