How Sun Executed the M&A Strategy

Sun supported Anderson Global in building a scaled, global platform through a disciplined buy‑and‑build strategy, complemented by operational integration and leadership reinforcement.

Key elements of the approach included:

• Proven buy‑and‑build execution: Completion of twelve strategic add‑on acquisitions under Sun’s ownership, expanding geographic reach and service breadth.
• Integrated operating model: Establishment and scaling of shared service centres in Dubai and India to support acquired businesses, unlock operational leverage, and improve cost efficiency across the platform.
• Leadership and governance: Strengthening the senior management team with dedicated M&A and strategy leadership to manage rapid inorganic growth and support strong revenue and EBITDA.

The M&A‑led strategy, combined with pricing optimisation and operational improvements, supported strong revenue and EBITDA growth, while creating a highly scalable, cash‑generative global services platform.

Overview

Fletchers is a UK‑based consumer law firm specialising in complex personal injury and medical negligence claims. The business has built a leading position in claimant representation, with a focus on high‑severity, high‑complexity cases where specialist expertise and scale are critical.

How Sun Drove Organic Growth

Sun partnered with Fletchers to accelerate sustainable, repeatable organic growth by professionalising the operating model, expanding internal capabilities, and investing in technology and people.

Key initiatives included:

• Professionalisation of a founder‑owned business: Introduction of formal performance management systems, establishment of a Project Management Office, and enhancement of the finance function to support scale and operational discipline.

• Talent and organisational growth: Recruitment of approximately 400 full‑time employees over three years, alongside the introduction of promotion pathways and hybrid working practices to attract and retain top legal talent.

• Technology‑enabled growth: Investment in data and AI capabilities to improve case selection, increase win rates and shorten case durations, while deploying automation and data‑scraping tools to materially improve lawyer productivity.

Platform Expansion

In parallel with organic initiatives, Fletchers completed eight add‑on acquisitions across personal injury and medical negligence, consolidating the market and expanding specialist capabilities.
