An Affiliate of Sun European Partners, LLP, announces that it has agreed to acquire ESIM Chemicals

An affiliate of Sun European Partners, LLP (“Sun European Partners”), today announces that it has agreed to acquire ESIM Chemicals (“ESIM” or the “Company”), a leading Austrian fine chemical manufacturer and top 3 crop protection CMO player in Europe, from Ardian for an undisclosed sum. The proposed transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

ESIM operates through two business units with several facilities. Exclusive Synthesis (“ES”) acts as a partner to many global crop protection companies which outsource the synthesis of certain chemicals. Maleic anhydride intermediates & specialties (“IM”) manufactures high value low volume chemicals for use across a diverse group of end markets including coating, pigments, construction and pharmaceutical.

The Company is headquartered in Linz, Austria.
